Mountain Anvilt (545) An isometric TTRPG map we did a while ago. It is an mountainside dungeon crawling location. #cartography #dnd #encounter #TTRPG

Referenced in ancient Dwarven texts, Eth Aldur – "The First Flame" – was a wonder to behold. The Dwarven seat of power hosted forges and smelters that fed huge workshops and factories; golem like 'men of metal', who moved as if alive; there were even veiled references to flying machines that would take to the sky from within the mountain city itself. Historians and adventurers alike would love to see those vaulted halls firsthand. I hope this map of Eth Aldur enhances your game sessions.

What is the history of this ancient structure and the mysterious stones that stand at its center? More importantly, are they worth laying #siege to the keep to gain control of them?If you enjoy this map, I have several other variations - as well as similar #battlemaps - on my Patreon page.
Combat along these edges is difficult, one wrong step and it might be over. Even usually weak encounter can make advantage of this dangereous situation if they can climb or fly. Harpys for example can try to push players over the cliff. If you don't want to kill a charakter this way, let them do a saving throw and give them action/reaction to rescue themself (grabbing on some roots, casting feather fall and so on). I hope you find a good use for this map :).
