I saved so much money making these three lit ghosts myself ($80 vs. $353), and I love them even more than the originals that inspired them 👻

The ghost dog is a little more work, but it’s so worth it! Check out Part 1 where I show you how I made the other ghosts, and share this with your Halloween loving friends!

DIY_Ideas_22 on Instagram: "👻 DIY Tomato Cage Ghosts! 👻 This is my second year making these fun, easy, and budget-friendly Halloween decorations! Perfect for adding a spooky touch to your front porch!

Here’s what I used for each ghost: ◻️ 42” tomato cage ◻️ Foam ball (size #8) ◻️ Battery-powered or white Christmas lights ◻️ Black adhesive felt ◻️ Two white plastic tablecloths: one 84” round, one large rectangle

✨ Pro Tips:

Double up on plastic tablecloths for extra coverage and durability, especially for outdoor use.
Use a white sheet instead if you're displaying them indoors.
Vary the height with smaller or larger tomato cages.
Use regular felt with low-temp glue if you don’t have adhesive felt.
Make sure to choose lights that stay cool for safety!

Mary Beth Wilhelm on Instagram: "Another fun Halloween DIY! 🐶 This is the cousin of Doug the viral Ghost Dog from Pottery Barn…except he doesn’t have a name yet. 🤔
The most expensive part of this DIY was the foam ball. They’re outrageous for whatever reason, but you can always use a rubber/plastic playground ball instead. I used an old twin bed sheet. I folded it in half, placed it over the tomato cage, and cut around the bottom. I also shoved a set of 100 white Christmas lights underneath. Let me know if you have any questions!"
