Lord Commander of the Kingsguard under King Robert Baratheon. Also known as Barristan the Bold, he's considered one of the best swordsmen of the Seven Kingdoms.

Ser Barristan Selmy - apodado Barristan el Bravo, es un famoso héroe y caballero de los Siete Reinos. Fue hermano juramentado de la Guardia Real antaño y, tras la Guerra del Usurpador, Lord Comandante de la Guardia Real de los reyes Robert I y Joffrey I Baratheon. Fue destituido de su cargo y expulsado de la Guardia Real por el rey Joffrey I.

Barristan Selmy, called Barristan the Bold, is a knight from House Selmy and the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard of Robert I Baratheon.[9] A celebrated hero, he has served in the Kingsguard since a time when these knights were still considered to be the greatest of the Seven Kingdoms. Barristan becomes a POV character in A Dance with Dragons.
