Since we moved to Canada, we've visited Banff and Jasper during March, April, August and September, so we've got a pretty good idea of the weather and what type of outfits and things to pack when you visit at those times. I've received lots and lots of questions about what to wear in Banff in Autumn so I thought I'd put a quick post together outlining a few essentials and what kind of weather you can expect from a September/October trip.

We visited Banff National Park during one of the transitional months in late August to early September, so it was a tricky time of year to pack for. Mountain weather is quite unpredictable so being prepared will make your experience at Banff a whole lot more comfortable.

We traveled to Banff National Park and Yoho National Park in Alberta and BC, Canada in mid October. Stayed at Emerald Lake Lodge, visited Lake Louise, downtown Banff, Peyto Lake. Pretty in the Pines Canadian Rockies Trip.
