Cabin Forum/Blog: Planning on a 12 wide cabin with a 12/12 pitch rafter roof and a loft. The loft will just have a mattress and little else. Would 2x6x12s be appropriate for a light load like this, and how close would they need to be? I d prefer it didn t bounce too much in case the wife is in a romantic mood.
