I take the frame and I paint it with Italian sage acrylic paint and that's by Folkart. I paint it on the front and back as well as the center of it. I then take these one-inch spools. Those I got at a thrift store and I hot glue them to the four corners on the bottom of the crate. And then paint that entirely with the same color. Next I'm taking a piece of this canvas pad that's also from Dollar Tree. And then I'm setting that aside for a second while I trim up this scrapbook paper that I got from Timu. I cut it a little bit larger than the opening of that frame. I then add Mod Podge to the back of the paper. And place it down onto the canvas. Leaving a little bit of a border of the canvass around the paper. I dry that completely. And then add a layer of Mod Podge on top. Once that's dry, I cut it out. Again, leaving a little bit of a border on the other two sides. Next I'm taking tacky glue and I'm applying that to right around the edge of the opening of that frame. Next, I place down the scrapbook paper and I flip it over to make sure that I have the image on there right and then just keep pressing down the canvas onto the glue using my heating tool to dry that. Next, I'm taking this drawer pole that I got from Hobby Lobby and hot gluing it to the front part of the crate and then add hot glue where the frame will be meeting the crate and place that down onto that glue. And then to decorate that I add in some floral foam using hot glue to keep it into place. And then I'm cutting some greenery as well as baby's breath both from Dollar Tree. And that is it for this project. Thank you so much for watching.
57K views · 1.1K reactions | Easy Dollar Tree DIY | Easy Dollar Tree DIY | By We Craft Around | Hey guys it's Beth. Today I'll be using these Dollar Tree cutting boards and two of their little signs. On the signs I went ahead with a razor blade and scored where the words meet the frame of the sign just a few times and then pushed in the words to get them off of there. And then once I have all the words removed from both signs I sanded those spots where I had removed them. Next I'm taking these 10 millimeter half round wooden beads that I got from Amazon. And just on one edge of these signs I'm hot gluing some of those beads. I believe I used 16 on each sign. Just lined them up first how I wanted them and then hot glued them into place. And then I take foggy chalk paint and paint both of those signs completely. And I did two coats. And I also painted the cutting boards with the same paint. Doing two coats on most of it except for one side of it. I'm just doing one coat because I'll be covering that with some fabric. On the sides that I had only did one coat on the cutting boards. I added a generous layer of Mod Podge. And then placed down my fabric that I got from Dollar Tree. Just placed it down. Smoothed it out. I used my heating tool to dry that layer. And then once that was dry I did an outer layer on top of the fabric of the Mod Podge. After that was dry I went around with my detailing scissors and removed all the excess fabric. Next on the side of the cutting boards that doesn't have the fabric. I'm holding on my shelves and measuring where I want them to be glued down. I am going to be gluing them an inch from the bottom. And then a quarter inch from the backside. So once I had my markings made I held on the second shelf just to see where I wanted that placed. And that is going to be seven inches from the bottom and again a quarter of an inch from the backside. To glue them into place. I'm taking Gorilla Grip Glue as well as hot glue. Putting that on the side. And then placing that down on my markings. And then do the same thing with the second shelf. And place that down on the markings that were the seven inches from the bottom. Gonna put the gorilla grip glue on the other sides as well as hot glue and place down my other cutting board making sure to get it on those markings I had made. And that's it for this project. Thank you guys so much for watching.
198K views · 3.4K reactions | Candle Holder Display Shelf DIY | Candle Holder Display Shelf | By We Craft Around | Hey, everybody. It's Beth. Today, I'm using these wooden plaques and wooden crates that I got from Dollar Tree. I paint the plaques completely with Italian sage acrylic paint and that's by Folkart. And then I'm taking this scrapbook paper I got from Timu and I take one of the crates and trace out the bottom of it. I then cut that a little bit smaller than my trace lines. And then I just trim it up as needed so it'll fit within the bottom part of that little crate. Next I'm using a combination of gorilla grip glue as well as hot glue. Adding that to the sides of one of the crates and then placing the other crate on top of that. A gorilla glue gives a really strong hold and the hot glue gives an immediate hold so I can keep working with it. I then paint the sides and the back with the same color, the Italian sage. I did paint one of the longer sides of the crates but I didn't need to do that because I'll be gluing those down. I also paint the insides just not the very bottom because it'll be covered in the scrapbook paper. I add Mod Podge to the bottom of each of the crates and smooth that out. I also add some Mod Podge to the edges of the scrapbook paper to make sure that they're fully adhered when I place them down in the crates. I placed down the scrapbook paper and smooth it out making sure there's no bubbles or wrinkles. Once I have both of those in there, I use my heating tool to dry the layer. I did not bother sealing the top of the paper but you can definitely do that if you prefer. Next I add the Gorilla Grip glue and hot glue to the longer edge of the crate and place it down on the top of one of the plaques. And then add the same combination of glues to the top of the other crate. And then to get it lined up I do end up taking it and flipping that over and placing it down on the top of the other plaque. And that is it for this project. Thank you so much for watching.
50K views · 640 reactions | Bee Decor DIY | Bee Decor DIY | By We Craft Around | Hey, everybody. It's Beth. Today, I'm using this oval plaque I got from Hobby Lobby. Around the edges as well as the back, I'm painting that with camel color acrylic paint by Folkart. You can also sometimes find these plaques at Dollar Tree. Once the paint is dry, I'm taking this scrapbook paper that I got from Timu and placing it on the top of the plaque and then I go around and trace out that top part of the plaque and cut that out and then apply Mod Podge to the unfinished part of the plaque. Place down the scrapbook paper and smooth that out and then use my heating tool to dry that. I then go around with my microsander and sand off any excess paper. And then add a layer of Mod Podge to the top of the paper and dry that completely. I then am taking these three quarter inch letters that I got from Hobby Lobby and painting them with black acrylic paint. And I'm just using my craft sponge to apply that. Next I take the letters and place them on the plaque and get them how I want them. And then take each one and apply tacky glue to the back of them. And place those down. Next I'm taking this jute that I got from Hobby Lobby and I'm applying some tacky glue to the very end of the piece and wrapping it around itself. And then I'm just going to take the remaining jute and keep wrapping it around. So just be like a flat circle all the way around but to keep it into place I add tacky glue in a few spots as I go. And then I just keep doing that until I have the size circle that I want. Then once I get to the end the last piece of the jute I am adding tacky glue to the back of my circle and placing that down. And then cutting off the remaining jute. And then take another piece. And cut that down real small. So I'll be making a little circle out of it. So I use tacky glue on the ends and place that together. And more of the glue to the circle and place it down onto the larger circle. After I have that placed down, I paint the inside of that with the black acrylic paint. And then I'm taking that adding some hot glue to the back of it and placing it down on the plaque. And then I'm taking these three bees. These I got from Timu. And they have little stickers on them. So I just pull those off. Add a small amount of hot glue and then place them throughout. And that is it for this project. Thank you so much for watching.
135K views · 1.9K reactions | Basket Storage DIY | In case you missed this one. Basket Storage DIY | By We Craft Around | Hey, everybody. It's Beth. Jamie's in these two baskets and pieces of wood from Dollar Tree. The wood pieces are 18 inches long. I used five of them. I'm using gorilla wood glue putting that on the edges of them. And then I'm also adding in some hot glue. The hot glue will give an immediate hold and the wood glue will give a stronger hold. I just glue them all together side by side. Next I'm taking these 12 inch stir sticks that I get from Amazon. I'm just lining them up across the top and bottom and marking them down and cutting them with these fiscal shears. After I cut those pieces, I sand the edges and then use the combination of wood glue and hot glue to attach them to the top and to the bottom and I lined them up so they are hanging over just a tiny bit so everything looks completely even. The pieces from Dollar Tree sometimes aren't exactly the same length. Next I am painting the entire thing with plaster color chalk paint by Waverly and I gave that two coats. Next I'm taking these picture hangers that I believe I got from Hobby Lobby but you could get them at Walmart. And I'm just using a tumbling block to get my spacing evenly on both sides. I did mark off with a pen where the holes need to go. Just so when I'm attaching the little screws I get my spacing right. These come with little nails but they were too long for the board so I just use these small screws I had and attached those to the top. Next I am marking off two and a half inches from that stir stick on the top. Taking these eye hooks and screwing them into those markings I made. For the bottom ones I attached the top basket just to make sure that I'll have enough spacing in between and then I'm marking up five inches from that bottom stir stick. And for some reason this eye hook was giving me a hard time so I ended up having to make a pilot hole just using one of those small screws I have just put the screw in there. Take it out and then put the eye hook back in. It just makes it easier to go in. And then I just add the baskets onto the hooks. You can use this for so many different things. I'm using it in my smaller bathroom that doesn't have as much storage for some towels. And that is it for this project. Thank you so much for watching.
