Hal Holmes, a third-year student in biomedical and electrical engineering, has won a prestigious Goldwater Scholarship, awarded by the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation.
Nicole Cabrera, a doctoral student in Physics and Astronomy, was recently awarded a prestigious Graduate Research Fellowship by the National Science Foundation. The prize, which consists of three annual stipends of $30,000, recognizes and will support Cabrera’s ongoing research into exoplanets – planets that revolve around other suns.
Recently, one of the students from Invisible Children’s Legacy Scholarship Program earned the top score at her school in national exams. Her journey to success has not been easy, but she has shown a commitment to her education despite all odds. She recently wrote to share her story with us.
