Obelisk at Luxor, Egypt. One of two that flanked the entry pylons of the great temple of Ammon. The other being absconded with by Europeans in the 19th century and now resituated at the Place de Concord, Paris, France. Both were erected by Rameses II (the "Great") at their original site during the 19th Dynasty.
