In the words of John the Baptist whom we trace our Baptist lineage to (not by blood nor unbroken succession but by spirit and doctrine and name): John 3:30 He must increase but I must decrease. -@gmx0 #BaptistMemes
He must become greater; I must become less. - John 3:30 This is the struggle we will live in until we reach heaven. I truly desire to live my life making much of Jesus but my heart is selfish and proud. There is a reason Paul used strong language such as "die to self." When we stop and realize that anything good in us is directly from Him it is much easier to make much of Him and less of ourselves. humility- too many people think they should live life for themselves, always making themselves happy first, when they don't realize the amount of joy you can bring to your own life by thinking of others first!
He must increase, but I must decrease. - John 3:30
God > I He must increase, but I must decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. (John 3:30, 31 KJV)
He must increase, I must decrease -John 3:30. this is truly where we as humans are most content and happy. For a long time i wasnt sure how to describe how this complete bliss I was feeling was coming from when a pastor would talk on the greatness of out Lord, but now i understand that it is when i am not the center of my universe but God is, that i am at peace
