Trunk presented for the birth of the Dauphin Louis Joseph in October 1781. Internally entirely covered with white taffeta on which are painted allegories, mythological subjects, sheepfolds and scenes of popular rejoicings. The figures of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette crowned by Love painted on the lid. The edges of the trunk are decorated with light garlands made of artificial flowers made of cloth.
