Artemis [’Αρτεμις] is the daughter of Zeus and Leto and the twin sister of Apollo. She is the hellenic goddess of the hunt, archery, wild animals, forests and hills, and the moon. Artemis was one of the most widely venerated of the Ancient Greek deities. Homer refers to her as “Artemis of the wildland, Mistress of Animals”. . She was a huntress, depicted carrying a bow and arrows. The deer and the cypress were sacred to her. The moon is her symbol.

Goddess Artemis-I looked up my name in childhood & had my imagination so I really enjoy seeing all of her representations. I identified with her for decades but never saw any artwork nor made any. My name means Artemis/Diana. I'm a Sagittarius too.I've been drawn to moon symbology as well as the representative bow & arrow of my sign & the moon goddess's protector role in nature.
