The Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II is a U.S. Air Force plane designed to provide close air support for ground troops. It is also among the planes being used for the Mountain Roundup.The roundup is a joint training exercise &-18 Oct 2013 that includes units from the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Army, along with Royal Canadian Forces, the German Air Force and Singapore's 428th Fighter Squadron, which is stationed at Mountain Home.
