Branches Aubusson Rug 5151E. Based on an original Asmara painting by Elizabeth Moisan, an admirer of the great 18th century English textile artist Ana Maria Garthwaite. The colors are inspired by early 20th century English botanical paintings. Wedgewood blue, violet, butter-yellow and garnet flowers branch out to make a trellis on a pale yellow ground. Made with ancient French Aubusson dyeing and weaving methods, this hand woven Aubusson flat weave rug has thousands of subtle color shades…
