During the winter, it is so easy to become depressed when everything surrounding you is lifeless. The cold numbs my body.. as well as my soul. The technique that I have learned recently to combat these negative feelings is to breathe. Breathe deeply. There is something about the chilly gust of air that I inhale into my lungs. It calms me down and helps me to remember that despite the frigid weather & lifelessness of winter, I am alive. I am very much alive, and for that I am grateful.
