16th century Spanish Renaissance Vargueno - used from Pinterest. The vargueno was a writting desk where one side folded down for a writing base and exposed drawers that were used to hold utensils. It was not attached to the base as it had a handle on each side and could be carried from place to place while traveling.
(Chapter 11) The Vargueno was a writing cabinet with a folding front that was a hinged lid to the top. It had numerous compartments and drawers. It was highly decorated with more decoration on the inside. This is my favorite desk! (16th Century Spanish Walnut Vargueno)
