Then we tilled up all the grass & added landscape border, fabric, & pea gravel. We used this firepit kit from @loweshomeimprovement that I’ll link! We landscaped the area behind and then of course added in all the fun decor like these solar string lights, the BEST Adirondack chairs (super durable and we leave them outside year round!) Here’s a little bit more about it ⬇️ ✅Great for zones 6-9. ✅Can handle some dryness, but will need to be kept moist in its early years. ✅ Hardly needs much care with minimal pruning and no fertilizing required. ✅ Most varieties get between 3-5 ft tall and wide being a great choice for the back of the garden without getting out of control. Important to know ⬇️ ❗️They’re slow growers. It’ll take a few years to get to its mature height so patience is key. ❗️This plant is considered toxic so not a great choice

There’s a little gap on each end, but all that middle section is concrete and this is a south facing area. 🧚🏻 Sometimes you need to work around things and make the best out of your situation. 🧚🏻 I’ve been trying to find a simple, cost effective and low maintenance solution for this very challenging area. 🧚🏻 I’m not a huge fan of bedding plants in pots. 🧚🏻 I prefer perennials, because they just grow for years and I don’t need to worry about them. HOW I DID IT 🧚🏻I have sown Erigeron seeds in Spring and I also grew them from cuttings. 🧚🏻 I have planted 3 plant in each of the whiskey barrels 🧚🏻 To soften this area visually and to keep it weeds free I propagated Sedum album by division and I
