Puzzle Purse Valentine Card, England, 1790. Message shown around edge when card is folded to show central red heart: 'My Dear the heart which you behold/ Will break when you the same unfold/ Even so my heart with love sick pain/ Sure wounded is and breaks in twain'. British Postal Museum and Archive
A version of an antique puzzle purse using origami folding. Great to make using calligraphy! It folds to show another heart like the center one, dotted on both inside and outside of the heart border. The message is numbered 1 thru 8, and the very interior around the pink heart is also numbered: 1 thru 4.
