Growing a Pineapple in Water From a Pineapple Top       1. Firmly twist the crown off. It will come off fairly easily. 2. Take the crown & pull off the lower leaves until u have about an inch+ of the core.....    If you want fruit, you'll have to keep it in a sunny location. Grow pineapple plants.  I have only had one so far but have five more plants I am waiting on. It took about two and a half years to get my first pineapple.  It was small but really sweet.
