Body lice is one of the many problems soldiers had to face in the trenches. The soldiers in trenches during World War 1 suffered from body lice. The body lice left blotchy red bite marks all over the body and created a sour; stale smell. They tried to get rid of them by taking baths and burning their clothes in the delousing machines but none of that worked. Once they thought they were all gone a few eggs survived and infected their bodies.
