Horse and trainer, Tang Dynasty, 618 AD - 907 AD.   City Museum, Luoyang.  The poses of horse and man seem to mirror each other, as the trainer puts his horse through its paces. The training of horses for extravagant shows became an elaborate art during the Tang dynasty, as seen in a silver flask with dancing horse from the Shaanxi History Museum.
