Danish ceramist Merete Rasmussen forms the pieces slowly in her studio, allowing each section to dry until it’s sturdy enough to hold the weight of the next piece. The technique, which she developed in order to make the abstract structures she had in her head, allows her to build up sculptures that look like one continuous piece.
Use Studio Scraps and turn it into a mini sculpture piece. This could be turned into a timed quick lesson to warm up the class!
